Cat and Bones

Cat and Bones was my second group project, and I was more involved in the programming this time. In this game, you are an explorer searching for a cat idol inside a temple, and you must retrieve keys and unlock doors before skeletons, arrows, and boulders can kill you. 

In this project, I focused on the objective system which involved collecting keys and retrieving the idol in order to progress through the game. I also helped with UI hooking up the objective text, stamina bar, and opening dialogue text.

Here is the script that controls the patrolling skeleton guards. On default, they travel back and forth to set waypoints, but if the player gets in their line of sight, they chase the player, and when the player far away enough, they return to patrolling. This was the first time working with nav meshes and coding AI enemies, and it was a challenge combining patrolling and chasing into one script.
